A 3 Period Day
In maths we found out that we had successfully helped Mr Donohue get his new job (cant say any more really). Got some maths work over the hols, realised i havent picked up the maths.
Signed out at break and went to Borders. Great shop. Also visited Toys R Us thats almost as good. Ikea for free drinks and a Daddy Burger to make an even better day.

Been a while
Though if we you are reading what im writing i think we both have enough time to meet up instead. So you can give me a bell then.
Since i last blogged..:
Exams - went swimmingly. Will find out whether i float or drown ages in the future.
Had time wasted by teachers attempting to "teach" A2 modules.
Been to Leeds, Cambridge and Oxford. Leeds and Cambridge have very good courses. Oxford and Cambridge have so much history. Also i gotta choose whether to do a Year in Industry (YinI).
Rugby has restarted - looking good to keep my place in the starting line up (hopefully). Mixture of blistering speed, high fitness and skill should get me the place.
Doctor Who has been and gone - brilliant last two episodes
Top Gear has started. Here's to a great series!
To come:
Sports day - 6th form relay
More rugby
Two weeks work experience
Two weeks free - need to organise things.
Two weeks holiday
All the best

It's been a while
This last week has been a return to the grindstone. This is a weird feeling; not knowing what to put. Must be cos im out of the habit. Nothing really interesting has happened this week, that i can remember well. 39/40 in one physics cw, not so good in the other (exact mark not given), football cancelled, our rugby future decided - we are gonna go into the colts, Samir sprained his ankle falling over during badminton. Finally got up-to-date with The Big Bang Theory; pretty good episodes. Discovered www.xkcd.com Spent time on Dilbert.com. Yeah so being rather geeky. This weekend im not doing much. May have a match report tomorrow if i can get into the blogging spirit, which i seem to have lost.

Joke
SINGLE BLACK FEMALE,
seeks male companionship, ethnicity unimportant. I'm a very good girl who LOVES to play. I love long walks in the woods, riding in your car ( whatever make or model, I'm not fussy ), hunting, camping and fishing trips, cosy winter nights lying by the fire. Candlelit dinners will have me eating out of your hand. I'll be at the front door when you get home from work; wearing only what nature gave me.
Call 07898 ****** and ask for Daisy. I'll be waiting...

He returns victorious
Today, for me, started at 7:40. It was rugby time again. We had an 80 minute journey ahead of us. So i got ready and we went to pick Samir up, late as usual. He had only woken up 20 mins before. After a long sleepy journey we turned up to the car park, and just as i remarked "is it me or do you not recognise any of the cars?" loads of our team turned up. We messed around in the changing rooms for a while before Gary, our coach, turned up. He told us it was gonna be an 11:30 kick off instead of 11. We decided to go out and warm up. Though for the first 20 mins we just kicked it about and got cold. Finally we got sorted and started the training drills, trying some new moves in the backs.
Jumping straight to kick off, we were against a side in a division above us that looked like they were really up for the game. The kick off wasn't good for us as they reclaimed the ball. But the forwards worked well to get us the ball. We started to take control. Suddenly Ryan burst up the right wing so i drifted across to keep up with him in case he came inside. Instead he kicked it over towards me, i chased and pressured the full back and he ended up fumbling and dropping the ball. The bounce was good, popping straight back up into my hands. I had a clear run for the line and scored! Adam converted to make it 7-0. I enjoyed that so much. My first ever try in a real game. Great feeling. The game continued with Morley dominating. I got subbed for Rob not long afterwards. While i was off Chris K scored a try, and Rob was supplied for another one. He had almost scored not long before. We controlled the whole game scoring 3 more tries from Ryan, Samir and Jake. They did score one against us in the second half but that was after one of our subs forgot to come on and we were playing with 14 men for part of it. Also there was one of our players between the ball and the ground. I think the referee gave them it out of pity.
Since the game i have been looking for a new phone. I have narrowed it down to three alright, yet not too expensive ones. Its only 5 days until the tour!
Highlight of the day - my try. The team were more successful than England against Ireland yesterday!

World Record Holder
The bus journey to hudds as usual wasnt fun. I hate buses. Met Beckie at the station. I went and grabbed a second breakfast from mcdonalds and ate it on the way to the university. Got there 30 mins early so hung around until Anthony and Lucy turned up. We were the first people to arrive, apart from those helping set up. We didnt have to wait too long for Miss Lewis to turn up. Safia and the other two asian girls didnt turn up until after half past 9, when everyone was supposed to be ready!
There were talks throughout the day that were pretty interesting. We asked to sort ourselves into pairs, and were then given a set of DNA molymods to use for the day. These had the specific pieces needed for the piece of the Insulin gene each pair had to make. Me and Anthony were doing the 9th sequence. They gave us information on how to construct it. Like do the complementary base pairs in order first. Have the holes towards you and the sense strand was on the right. The 5 prime end had to be at the bottom of the sense strand, with a phosphate group on the end etc. We had 2 practice runs at it so we knew what we were doing.
The food wasnt bad. There was quite a lot of it. So i was happy. When we made it for the recor Me and Anthony managed to build our strand in about 8mins. Lucy and Zoe beat us but they started with fully constructed phosphate-sugar backbones (cheaters). But we were the first table to finish and so asked for T-Shirts, which we should be getting! The 51 sequences were strung together at the end and hung up to produce a 20m long double helix of DNA.
I will add a little more tomorrow but it includes a surprise that i dont want to spoil in case they are reading this.
We got chocolate eggs at the end which was great. Train back home with Beckie and Lucy. Off out to An Inspector Calls tonight!

World Record Tomorrow!
Physics we got shouted at for leaving the room in a messy state yesterday. With that over we went through the coursework write up, not much fun. But it is different to the normal science ones we do. Biology, we tried to get out of cos we lost our protected free for the practical yesterday. Didnt work, so most people ignored her whilst she read from the notes. Adarsh spent the lesson wearing Ola's hat, acting like a gangster. Didnt manage to pull it off really.
Skills; waste of time as ever. During the free we went and played badminton. Great fun! Maybe basketball or rugby next week! Mechanics turned out to be stats; going through the last of the paper and practising what we had done badly on. I almost got moved for talking to samir... The end of the lesson was very welcome.
Since then ive sorted out how im getting to the world record attempt tomorrow. Should be good fun. Then i have An Inpector Calls to look forward to in the evening in good company. They know who they are!
No rugby this evening due to "adult" pantomime. So stuck for things to do! Will watch torchwood later probably.

Good fun, provided a great title.
So on with today. Really i did very little today. Nothing interesting before registration. Chemistry was boring, just going over what me and Amy did two weeks ago. Ooh, just remembered that i have a test tomorrow on reaction kinetics. I cant be bothered to revise. Ill see how it goes. In Biology we didnt get our practical plans back, we dont until tomorrow. We did get to talk through them. I had to explain why using a bunsen burner wasnt the best way to heat the test tubes... We left early. A waste of a morning if i have to be honest.
After break was the first lesson worth turning up to. With a room change we ended up with 4/5 little people coming into our lesson and asking for things. Mr Lund said he should have just stayed in rm 49. But anyway, we reacted haloalkanes with water. The chemicals out were chloro-, bromo- and iodobutane, ethanol, silver nitrate and water. Someone actually shouted out "ow, you just got acid on me". Me, Zainab, Amy and Ben tutted and laughed at them. Poor fools.
I spent the whole lunch sat next to Amy doing her biology homework, Josiah eating and across from Adarsh doing what he does best; nothing but complaining and Sal, who was trying to throw sweets down Amys top. He was useless; missing from about 20cm away even when she pulled her top out to give him a target!
Back to biology to be split into groups and make a poster on the whole topic so far. I got moved from my original group and took charge, allowing them little victories like using pink and purple for the poster, whilst leading fearlessly XD
Physics was good fun. Got all my results out of the way. Me and Amy amused ourselves by swinging the bulbs on sticks around in each others faces. We wrote out names in the air and closed our eyes to see the after image... How mature are we?! Shannon asked me "Are you male and good at physics?" You can guess what other people said. Anyway, she wondered why the voltage output on her potential divider wasnt changing. Turned out she wasnt using the rotary potentiometer properly. I fiddle with her wires and got it to work...
Here's to a good biology practical tomorrow!

Overrunning
I'm at Samir's so a quick one today. Just had tea. Completely different from my normal food. It was junk food; pizza and chips with galaxy ice cream to follow. Samir claims that it is because i am fussy. I disagree; i believe he just used me as an excuse to eat what he wants and he isn't arguing.
Now to continue i shall talk about yesterday and add my plans in for today.
Yesterday started well with being sent away from biology with some sheets and Amy because we had both finished the coursework. So i spent the hour doing homework and eating. In stats we had a test. I am sure i failed the probability part of it... And it ran into break so we went straight to maths without food. I was not happy, as my stomach made vocal, which Samir heard and thought was Pepper. After maths i went straight to the shop for 2 packs of wotsits and a pack of magic stars. Great food. Finished before the D of E meeting, which turned out to be pointless as i had already told him my options. So i changed my plans to going through the biology planning. Then we noticed Amy had done a good plan. So Adarsh took it and photocopied it. Amy disappeared somewhere in between. I went and copied them for me and Saf and Becky copied off Saf. So thanks to Amy! Physics was good fun as usual. Biology my plan went well. I managed 2 pages of my writing. So that was a lot of stuff in it. Was being lazy so accepted a lift home from Georgina. Samir came with. Then we walked from mine to his whilst i was wearing Arrons hat that he'd brought back from Disneyland. At Samirs we feasted on biscuits.
Ben Tillyer decided that he wanted to have Samir a game of guitar hero 3 so got the bus. He managed to get the bus that terminated in hecky and had to walk up. What an idiot! He was gonna knock on the wrong door when Danny and Arron saw him and showed him the right house. Arran phoned me to check that i was going to see him in Dracula and to wait for Raaj. Raaj turned up as we were about to leave so all was well. After walking down to Dewsbury Little Theatre we met Gina (Arran's girlfriend) and Lucy, her friend. Lucy was rather friendly and seemed obsessed with showing us a picture of the pink toilet there. She was impressed how we looked like people out of Superbad, especially Arron McLovin' Wray. The play was good fun, the second half was complete madness. Apparently when they asked for whips Arran was the only one in the cast without one.
Afterwards we went back to Samir's to game.
Today me and Samir are off to help wait on people at Morley RFC for the dinner associated with the game Morley vs Tyneside. We are getting £150 plus tips towards the tour. Hopefully i wont spill or drop anything. After the waiting there is the England vs Scotland match to watch. So that'll be a good afternoon.
No quote or listen to today.

Agony Over
First i would like to make an addition to my day yesterday. I did provide information for those who were surprised that England is warmer than France. It should be in winter as England has a maritime climate and France has a continental climate. Therefore England is warmed by the oceans more than France, and so the temperature is higher.
Anyway on with today. The topic of this morning was exam results, and how well (or badly) we thought we had done in them, Adarsh having to be sedated by his mum the evening before. During form period and biology we heckled Mr Fraser and Miss Edgely (sp?) to tell us our results. All Mr Fraser told us was that Amy had done very well (turns out only 7 less marks than me on C1 - i told her that was a further maths ability mark but she doesnt want to believe me). She still wants to drop maths, even though she can easily do 4 next year. In bio we had a quiz, i had to answer all the questions on my own as Georgina and Lucy were more interested in talking about hair curlers etc.
Got down from bio to grab some smarties from my locker to find a scrum of people around Mrs Minto trying to get their results. I didnt want to risk Mr Donohues wrath, so checked with him first if i could get mine. These are them:
Bio - 90/90 A
Chem - 87/90 A
C1- 96/100
C2 - 94/100
Decision (D1) - 90/100
I am pretty chuffed with them. Though D1 is a bit low :p. Only joking. In physics most people got their presentation marks back and a lot of people got 40/40. Well done to them.
At lunch i had a meeting about the gene thing. Gotta sort out getting there for 9. Public transport will be hell... Apparently the biggest risk involved is falling over people and furniture. That made me laugh. Just the idea of people walking around and violently tripping over people every few seconds...
Maths was just more proof by induction. It is a rather clever thing really. For those of you that are uninformed you sub n=1 in, prove it is true, presume n=k is true then use that to sub into n=k+1 and prove that is true. So if n=1 is true and n=k+1 is true so long as n=k is true when k=1 it is true, then n=2 is also true. If then you say n=2, n=3 must be true and so on... And that is a chapter in FP1 Maths.
Afterwards i hung around with Carl and Samir in the main hall just pissing around. Carl was carried by Samir on his back whilst pretending to be king of all. This got some funny looks from people in Mr Tilley's class.
When i arrived home i watched Torchwood. A very good episode. The last few have been really up to standard.
So a quote for today?
“The unreal is more powerful than the real, because nothing is as perfect as you can imagine it. because its only intangible ideas, concepts, beliefs, fantasies that last. stone crumbles. wood rots. people, well, they die. but things as fragile as a thought, a dream, a legend, they can go on and on.”

Physics Coursework
The day before the day that it could all come tumbling down
“Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time.”
And that is the quote i had in mind when i spent 20 minutes trying to balance a tube of smarties on an edge. Didnt happen. So i gave up and ate them instead. Serves them right for not cooperating.Tomorrow is results day. Many people seem to be dreading it. I am rather relaxed as usual, just like before exams. The preparation has taken place before hand and you cannot do anything really in the short term that will affect your results. Why worry? It is all in the past.
My day was nothing special. Two jokes of the day (that i can remember). Jayne pushed in the food queue and said "i'm not getting much" to which i replied "food or just in general?". Second was prompted by Pinder's idea of the perfect job - sperm donator: Sperm donation - high income occupation. (Humaira wont like that one)
I got out of biology again, to lose to faz and fuzz's team. We did get a good bit of team work off: i stormed down the left, turned back, chris called for it, i passed it to him. He passed it to Carl who finished beautifully. It was our only goal. We blame Chris as he had some good chances and didnt manage to get off an easy layoff to me; it went straight to the defender. Also our supporters club didnt turn up!
Skills was, as usual a waste of time and afterwards i asked Zainab to grab me 8 cans of coke, 4 kitkats and 4 boxes of smarties from Fulton's when she went down. She didnt get any kitkats! I got my ticket for dracula from Arran. Anyone else going?
The only other interesting thing that happened today was rugby training. Good fun. In the match i supported Chris K and he put me in for an easy try over the line. We should do that in a proper match some time :p. We had fun with truck and trailer *most people switch off here* and in the backs we played 3 on 6 with the 3 players attacking. Naked. I bet that caught your attention again. I continue on home to find everyone dreading results and having homework to do. Why do i seem to be the only one without it. Oh and Zainab is off to the gene thing instead of Emad.
I am starting a listen to section, trying to bring some older music back:
Listen to? Is this the world we created by Queen.

Well what can i say?
This morning i did my further maths homework in front of an amazed amy and zealous zainab *checks on google - actually makes sense (score)*. Proof by induction yeah!
The day started with the usual "well thought through" assembly where we all had to cram into the drama studio with half as much space as usual... It was about "beauty on the inside" or something - noone really takes any notice. There was a nice quote though that i have to share:
“It's beauty that captures your attention; personality which captures your heart.”
And so i went to physics with that thought in my head. We were trying out our sensor coursework circuits and did very little apart from laugh at amy poking her bulb on a stick into a cardboard tube repeatedly and spinning it around. Amy is so short without her heels. I dont like it in some ways, but i do in others. I feel more superior when shes shorter though. Chemistry can also be summed up quickly with: i finished my coursework and read through some biology notes. Break came and went with food. Good news came too though; maths was cancelled. Whilst Adarsh and Josiah worked on their maths i went to mine with Samir, Carl and Pepper. I picked up my football and pumped it up whilst Carl made rude jokes about it (yeah you can guess what). We played football down in town practicing for the game tomorrow. Turns out it is against a girls team so we really had better win. Come along and support us! Samir revealed to us on the way back from town that he likes little kids. So you can see where i went with this. We have a new phile on our hands! In the free before bio i had the weirdest conversation with saf and becky (ask one of them about it) whilst doing my biology hwk - that i had forgotten to do again :p. In bio i sorted out a deal with my teacher; i get to miss the lunch time lesson every 2 weeks so i could play football. Also i found out i am going on the gene record thing. Should be great fun!
Maths and mech weren't much to talk about. Afterwards picked up my camera and headed down to the taxi rank with amy and anthony. Amy was struggling in flat shoes (she cant dance in high heels). At Hollybank we took some pictures, the service users took some of each other and themselves with a rather nifty button. Then we sorted a filing system for them (not the most fun but it goes towards my D of E).
Me and Samir walked back from there. 35 mins for me, just talked about stuff and argued about bus routes. That just about sums my day up i think, apart from one of my friends isnt too happy atm and i hope they manage to pick themselves back up!

My Keirsey's Personality Test (Nicked off Emad)
"You are a Guardian:
All Guardians share the following core characteristics:
- Guardians pride themselves on being dependable, helpful, and hard-working.
- Guardians make loyal mates, responsible parents, and stabilizing leaders.
- Guardians tend to be dutiful, cautious, humble, and focused on credentials and traditions.
- Guardians are concerned citizens who trust authority, join groups, seek security, prize gratitude, and dream of meting out justice.
Guardians are the cornerstone of society, for they are the temperament given to serving and preserving our most important social institutions. Guardians have natural talent in managing goods and services--from supervision to maintenance and supply--and they use all their skills to keep things running smoothly in their families, communities, schools, churches, hospitals, and businesses.
Guardians can have a lot of fun with their friends, but they are quite serious about their duties and responsibilities. Guardians take pride in being dependable and trustworthy; if there's a job to be done, they can be counted on to put their shoulder to the wheel. Guardians also believe in law and order, and sometimes worry that respect for authority, even a fundamental sense of right and wrong, is being lost. Perhaps this is why Guardians honor customs and traditions so strongly--they are familiar patterns that help bring stability to our modern, fast-paced world.
Practical and down-to-earth, Guardians believe in following the rules and cooperating with others. They are not very comfortable winging it or blazing new trails; working steadily within the system is the Guardian way, for in the long run loyalty, discipline, and teamwork get the job done right. Guardians are meticulous about schedules and have a sharp eye for proper procedures. They are cautious about change, even though they know that change can be healthy for an institution. Better to go slowly, they say, and look before you leap.
Guardians make up as much as 40 to 45 percent of the population, and a good thing, because they usually end up doing all the indispensable but thankless jobs the rest of us take for granted."
It starts well but i dont like the last paragraph. There is no way i am going to be doing a "thankless job the rest of us take for granted"! But apart from that I think it sums me up quite well.
Chocolate, coursework and cambridge
Today has been an eventful day. Started off with me arriving at school with a hotel chocolat catalogue. Everyone wanted a look at it. It is filled with the most fantastic stuff. Comments ranged from "wow" to "get that away from me" and "those look awful". To the latter i reply: "you weirdo Andy". Me and Zainab kindly taunted Amy about with the chocolate catalogue.
In chemistry we continued with our coursework analysis and evaluation. Both Amy and I made a fatal mistake but managed to change it. I have just about finished my work, and will be using the checklist to run through it before next lesson. It turns out that the "calculated result" is a result that is given to you dependent on the result you manage to find. Chemistry is all lies! Was time to celebrate with magic stars! Amy refused my offer of them, but Zainab happily accepted.
Next we had biology where we got our practise plans back. I felt robbed that i only got 6/8, but then she explained what i had missed so i am a little happier. She said we could leave early as she was giving us homework for during lunch, but we over-ran and ended up going at the normal time. I was NOT happy.
Break time was food time as usual, but more so due to an oxbridge meeting i had at lunch. A sandwich, pack of hula hoops and a kitkat was enough to satisfy me for then. Chem with Mr Lund was interesting as usual. Full of bad puns as usual (people were straining for the reason why epoxyethane is so reactive). Amy was sounding all stuffed up and had the sniffles which amused me immensely. She didn't like me laughing at her. Also she told us about lambing at the weekend and how her mum asked what she thought about pulling lambs out of their mothers' arses. Amy wondered where her mum learnt about reproduction from, and said it would be like cannibalism... Apparently there was a part of lambing that kept her arms nice and warm. Ask her about it.
At lunch I quickly did the bio for me, Adarsh and Ola. Printed it off and "showed great dedication" (miss lewis' words exactly). Then it was onto the oxbridge meeting. Here i felt embarassed as i seem to be the only person that hasn't decided decided which course i want to do for my degree. They spent the 15-20 mins talking about how hard it is going to be, and that our results need to be great and we need to show potential and dedication. Looks like i need to start reading up on what i want to do and then start researching that field as well. Fun... After this i went to the common room and continued to take the piss out of Amy with Sal's help. He dropped his chocolate and £1 on the floor. I took the chocolate. Amy has the £1. When Amy stormed out fed up of our teasing i took her chemistry folder with its colourful notes. She didnt notice until the end of biology, and on the way to physics she decided to hit me round the head with her bag. That hurt!
In biology we went through the analysis of the practice plan etc. Not the most interesting lesson. Physics was better. He turned up 15 mins late then let us go early. We did grate work in physics and were taught some latin that i have already forgotten.
Nothing of note after school except this is a great clip of an aeroplane in trouble. Enjoy.
Also a latin saying for the day from Mr Gilroy:
Mutatis mutandis - The necessary changes having been made

Too good for you guys to miss out on
"Best practical joke you have seen or been part of?
Oooh this is a good one. I have a couple:
Using 2 ketchup packs, (the type used for carry out fries). I laid one on top of another and rolled the bottoms up together like you would a tube of toothpaste. This creates a double sack of ketchup for the assault.
Using a pin, poke a hole in each one near the exposed end seam on the outer sides. Now you have a ketchup pack that will squirt in two directions at once.
To set this funny prank in motion, place the premade pack below the foot under a toilet seat. The unsuspecting victim will sit down and get shot in the "nether regions" as well as creating a scary discharge into the toilet.
I got a guy who weighed about 250 and thought he had injured his rectum. He was relieved and irritated that it was not.
This was one of the funniest pranks I have ever done.
Also I warned my mates after a night out that the first to fall asleep should be cautious, as it is a schoolboy error to make. Within 10 minutes one of them fell asleep. We got toothpaste out and put it on his hand so when he rubbed his face it went all over. it didn't get left there though. We got some Brylcreem and splashed it over his nether regions (he still had his jeans on by the way) and took photo's as he fell asleep with one hand in his pants so it looks like he's jissed himself. We also shaved his eyebrows so he had none, then a mate got a permanent marker and drew a penis on his face. He was pissed to see this when he got up. Someone took it too far though and cut his hair, so he had to get it shaved. Someone also dropped vinegar down the side of his face too so he licked it up when it trickled down his face towards his mouth. They also put his hand in a bucket of water so he woke up and he's pissed himself, I don't know how the hell he didn't wake up :s
Still he got payback big time on them. Thankfully I got off scott free :)"
Enjoy!
Introduction to people i may mention
There will be many people i will be mentioning; people in my lessons, people i see at lunch, people from msn and myspace, people from Rainbow (more about this later) and my rugby team. This could be a long list. So i may just group them.
Maths crew: Carl - mad and so cool, likes to nipple cripple Samir; Samir - big, inferior to me and Carl, will always open up and fix machinery, plays rugby; Jaward - tries to be cool, can be a little slow ;) and will be my driver soon; Josiah - tall, cool, posh; Adarsh - hates to be wrong, NOT open minded; Frank - cool chinese person (way too fast at maths), Jayne and Andy - too loud and laugh throughout the lessons at nothing; Pepper - doesnt do much except hide samirs bag.
Chemistry crew: Only three people worth mentioning; Amy - has great drive in life, likes a laugh, loves animal, has COLOURED notes!; Zainab - addicted to diet coke, has very colourful clothes; Ben T- addicted to yugioh (well collecting things really *cough* perplex city), doesnt like hwk, loves lq.
Physics: Amy; Zainab; Shannon - loud, likes shouting at me, was good as the fairy godmother; Adarsh, Josiah, Arron - likes gaming, and has a sword; Raaj - likes gaming also, thinks he can pwn all; Chris K - cool, plays rugby, likes teasing people; Chris B - has a talent for getting the cream out of custard creams intact, likes acting, plays rugby; Samir; Danny - spent ages off playing maple story, forgot about real life :p; Ben F - just a very cool person; Bilal - scored against in football, quite funny.
Bio: Adarsh, Ola - likes his b-ball, powerball and wow; Lucy - very high pitched and doesnt think about what she says (often to bad effect); Georgina - a little less childish than Lucy, sponges answers off me, nicks my food; Becky - rarely turns up (usually out smashing bottles on her head - http://www.eatliver.com/i.php?n=2837), spends lessons talking about weird inventions (ask saf); Saf - rather sick minded, likes his inventions and disgusting Humaira; Humaira - very witty, has a great blog and likes to avoid attention, physical contact and exertion; Hannah - very loud annoying person.
Lunch: Beckie - one of the nicest people around, never says owt bad about anyone; Katie - same as Beckie; Bryony - well im undecided about her, seems a little mad, addicted to spoons; Sal - likes to wind amy up with me.
Rainbow: a group of complete nutters on a website i go on. They like to take the piss out of each other, have a sick sense of humour and hate the authority on the game. I may post nuggets of our discussion on here. Big players: Meatloaf, General, Ged_Cade, Monkey, Jenks, BBS, bc8, Jinx and jr.
Rugby: Jake, James G, Joe, Jack, Big Andy, Samir, Ham (aka rich), Chris K, Chris B, Tom, Chris G, some other Chris, Josh, Holmesy, Prodders, Adam - captain, Si, John, Steady, Rob - yeah the hot one with the curly hair (aka the manwhore ;) ), some new Josh, Ryan - another speed daemon. Think thats it.
EDIT: Someone important to my sanity that i forgot - elle - she's cool, has a knack for long conversations, loves hugs and blankets and has an obsession for pics, makeup and likes to change her hairstyle every 5 mins. She likes to eat shit loads when chatting to me. My evenings arent complete without a chat with her. Food for the mind!
Beaten, bruised and bored!
Today was another day that started early. 8:30 today. Woke up. Realised i had forgotten to make the card for my mum. 5 mins later had brushed teeth and sorted the card. And so began the 2.5hr build up to rugby. A big breakfast followed by getting my kit bag. Listened to REM whilst getting changed. Was a cold windy day, so i decided to wear my pads and lycra shorts (oh yeah how cool am i) under my kit. I was so glad that i did.
After arriving at Morley RFC and warming up for half an hour in the wind, trying to work on a way not to drop the ball in high winds we went in to find out the opposition (Yarnbury) had only 13 players. For those of you who arent familiar with the game of rugby union you need 15 players for a game. I was one of the two that were placed on their team. Playing on the wing. Managed to look like i was trying for them and at the same time giving Morley an advantage. Last time i played on the wrong team i made a match saving tackle against chris beck. He wasnt happy. He said this time that i didnt give him enough time to rip the ball, so owe him another try. Ah well. I cant win really. Playing with the wind Yarnbury managed to take a considerable lead, whilst Morleys forwards were taking the strain. A few silly kicks by adam into the wind let the team down. Highlight of the half was Holmesy getting in for his first try! Congrats there.
At half time i swapped onto Morley. I was able to bring my blistering pace into the side :p. Playing with the wind again i had a lot of running to do. Morley really performed in this half, getting over the line over 5 times! We scored 2 tries in this half, samir getting over the line 3 times yet not scoring. He was so angry. Also the referee missed a try that Chris G scored (helped by me i hasten to add) because he was more interested in giving Chris Kelly a yellow card. I missed what happened but i have heard two accounts from other people: he stood on someones head or he stood on their shoulder. Anyone that knows Chris will know he isnt malicious. Never mind. One minute to go and the result rested on a kick from adam. Could he convert the try to make it 19-19? Seconds went by as he placed the ball and chose his run up. The crowd were silent. He started his run up, and Yarnbury started to charge it down. The ball drifted slightly wide. He was not happy with himself. But the game continued for the last minute, with Yarnbury on the attack. Final whistle with no change in the scores. Well played Morley. The highlight for me was my charge down on the full backs kick. Bounced off me towards touch. I dived on it, then was about to get up when the ref said i was in touch. He seemed to be the only one who thought that. Well what the ref says goes. And in rugby union we refer to him as "Sir" and respect his decision. Not like in the pathetic game of football.
This afternoon i am gonna be online until i start cooking tea for my mum. Hopefully wont screw that up.
Ooh - Update:
Just remembered the funniest thing that happened today. Si from rugby had hurt his shoulder and couldn't move his right arm above his shoulder height, but was trying to put his pads on. He struggled so much. Then he got james g to help. This made things worse. James first moved his arm, he groaned... then pulled the pads over him, which caused Si more pain and he made more noises of anguish. Imagine what people must have thought outside of the changing room... A whole load of guys in there and one of them groaning and shouting... ;)
My First Blog (From Myspace)
After lunch (of feast-sized proportions [for normal people]) i watched more cop shows and then decided it was time for my saturday gym sess. Was good, but running on the track in the wind was difficult at times - even birds were flying backwards!
Since then ive been on the computer. Being cool (testing a new integrated nightly for a open source game i play - oops sorry Humaira), chatting to Humaira and Bryony on here. Suggestions to brighten her afternoon to Humaira were:
Order pizza for your neighbours
Type with your right hand on the left side of the keyboard and your left hand on the right side
And buy a catapult and sneakily catapult people through her window.
Quick plug before i go: Read Humaira's blog for an amusing one.
Plan for tomorrow: Play Yarnbury at Morley. Homework to be done on monday morning! And for the sake of using the word: Discombobulated!
